Tomorrow, I will fly to San Francisco. My ACL which was potentially torn, was revealed on the MRI to be only sprained. The result of this is that although the MCL was indeed torn, I can bike. So I am going try and join Michael, Cooper and Jon as they bike across the US for two weeks or until my knee starts to give me problems, which ever comes first. A few weeks ago I tore my MCL in an Ultimate Frisbee collision. I finally got an MRI this past week and on Thursday I’ll find out if my ACL is torn as well. MCL’s heal but ACL’s don’t. This is a fairly large disappointment/annoyance, because I just bought a touring bike, which I haven’t picked up because I can’t ride it. And I have a one way ticket to San Francisco the end of May for a trip which I was going to use the new bike on, so time will tell if I can still go or not.
