Every Year for Christmas, my grandmother asks that instead of buying her a present we write a story of something that happened during the year. This year I have a lot of stories so I compiled and edited several of my emails and added some more commentary. I give you my Christmas story.
I wasn’t sure if I wanted to put a photo gallery on this site since the only good gallery program I know of is gallery and that uses php which can sometimes be a security risk. If anybody knows of a good photo gallery program that doesn’t use php let me know. However, I figured it would be nice to have, so I added migrated some pictures from the old travalas.org since I’m still having issues with my registrar. I think I’ve given up on that domain. Life goes on.
I redesigned my site. again. I think I’m really more interested in the design process than in actually putting up content. That begs the question, am I shallow since I’m more interested in appearance? I don’t think it does. I think it shows that I’m more interested in making than in writing. Somebody whose name I can’t recall said that weblogs are the cancer of the web. They are drivel spewing from the upper middle class privileged, ranting about their cat and how it likes Kerry. Possibly and probably he was right, but at the same time this is my rant. It tells a little about myself, and might be my generations equivalent of a circle letter. John Doe stumbling across my site from any-random-site.com will find this boring stuff and thus drivel, but my mom, brother or college roommate hopefully finds it interesting. As for those other weblogs? People want their 15 minutes by any means they can. A few people got famous, so maybe they can to, one could even say it’s the American Dream.
