Christmas

There are two Christmases, one is of the soul and is eternal, refreshing and beautiful and one is of flesh that is tacky and passes about 30 seconds after you’ve gotten your loot. The real Christmas is about a truth so incredible that it could never be predicted, yet is. That God would become vulernable and come meet us.

If you must referance the fat little man in red, think about him as the historical St. Nick who was known for his charity to children.

So I got a kitchen mixer for Christmas. How great is that? Kitchen Aid and 350 watts of dough mixing power. Grunt Grunt Tim Taylor eat your heart out. I’m feeling a cookie baking marathon coming up.

I had a dream; I was hoping to write this early enough to say that it was last night, but alas, I have failed. Therefore I hope the important thing is not the timing but the content.

I was at a church and there was a worship service going on. It was the first time I was at this church. It had a raised stage and down on the left in front of the stage was a grand piano. It was during the music section of the service, and for some reason I decided that it would be good to walk down front and start doing some improvisation to go along with the music.
